Account launch: email-and-password accounts and saved events are available. New accounts require email verification, and password recovery is available. Reminder emails are not available yet.
Account data
Manage or delete your account data
Saved events and account settings have their own pages in the signed-in navigation. Account settings keeps reminder choices, security controls, and deletion in one place. Public calendar browsing remains available without signing in.
Data connected to an account
The account service is designed to hold:
- Your first name, last name, email address, optional phone number, and a one-way password verifier.
- Your active sessions and account-security state.
- One-way digests for short-lived email verification and password-reset links.
- Your saved public event identifiers and save times.
- Your global and per-event reminder preferences.
- Pending reminder jobs, if reminder delivery is enabled.
The optional phone number is profile/contact information only. It is not verified, cannot be used to sign in, and is not used for reminders. Any future phone contact or phone-based reminder use would require separate consent.
Delete your account
- Sign in with the email address and password connected to NearbyCalendar.
- Open Account settings.
- Select Delete my account.
- Read the confirmation and confirm only if you want the deletion to proceed.
A successful self-service deletion removes the live account profile, including the first name, last name, and optional phone number, as well as sessions, saved-event records, preferences, unused account-security links, and pending reminders, then signs the browser out. The action cannot be undone.
Delivery and security records
Verification and recovery email can create mail-server logs, delivery feedback, and provider suppression records containing an email address. These records are kept separately from the live account when needed to diagnose delivery, prevent repeated sending to a failing address, or handle abuse. Encrypted database backups may keep deleted account data, including profile fields, for up to 35 days. These copies and delivery-security records cannot always be removed immediately.
If you cannot access the account
Use password recovery if you lose your password. A successful reset signs out every existing account session. If you no longer control the account email, email corrections@nearbycalendar.com for help. We will not reveal account data or change an account without enough proof that the request is from the person who controls it.
